Hemel Hempstead based Healey Packaging have announced the addition to their product range of converting equipment from Robust Habicht & Heuser.

Robust , based in Remscheid, Germany, specialise in designing and building slitting, rewinding and core cutting machinery, together with patented friction winding shafts.

Tailor made slitting and rewinding machines are available with features such as cross cutting, stacking, in-line punching and separate unwind units. Also in the range is their SSV 15 machine developed specifically to cut plain or laminated test strips or "dipsticks". The machine will operate at up to 120 cuts/minute producing test strips from 80 to 120mm long and 4 to 6mm wide.

Richard Healey of Healey Packaging said "Robust enable us to offer a comprehensive range of slitting and rewinding kit. Coupled with their in-house design capabilities we can offer bespoke solutions to pretty well any slitting, cross cutting or rewinding application."

SP4 Sealing Press
The new model SP4 sealing Press has superceded the tried and tested machine. As before the special form heating bands can be manufactured for almost any shape you require. Applications include sealing of valve bottles in inliner bags, including gel filled cooling bags from the field of dentistry, through to blister packs.

The contact pressure can be adjusted to suit all shapes and accommodate a diverse range of films. Simultaneous sealing and separating is possible with an infinite adjustment of the sealing parameters.

The SP4 has a larger sealing area and more powerful hydraulics than the model it replaces.

WIDE FORMAT SEALING

The HTP series of sealing devices from JOKE are pneumatically operated and superbly designed for the sealing of materials needing a high contact sealing pressure. Standard models in the range are capable of sealing up to 3.5 metres in length with a band width of from 4mm to 40mm.

High throughput and consistent results are achievable by utilising water cooled sealing bars in conjunction with a purpose built cooler and digitally controlled impulse unit.
